In a world of perpetual change, the BCI has always known since its creation in 1999 how to adapt and evolve from a national bank to a continental bank.
This expansion, initiated in 2007 with an establishment in Mali, was followed with the opening of two banking institutions in Guinea and then in Senegal.
This strategy is the fruit of long term vision based on the wise allocation of resources, client support and priority given to the financing of real economies, while at the same time knowing how to avoid complex and dangerous investments which have weakened the international financial system.
Facing a slight improvement in the world economy, real and provisional growth rates on the continent and especially in Western Africa confirm the remarkable potential of our economies.
The results, as with the objectives of BCI, make us an active participant in these dynamics. Our financial data (available under the heading “key figures”) testifies this.
This year in Mauritania the bank has continued with its policies of proximity and customer loyalty building with the opening of a second Islamic agency in the heart of the Nouakchott central market.
